Relife
Updated by Caroline Buckland
The process.
Occasionally, an asset’s life needs to be amended. Postings are not normally created as a result of a RL. The effect of the relife is to increase or reduce future depreciation postings. A RL record can be repeated any number of times for an active asset.
Access the Asset Relife Screen
To access the Asset Register follow the menu options, Fixed Assets- FA Processes-Asset Maintenance-Asset Register.
Enter the Asset number in the Selection Window or enter another criteria. Click on OK.
Alternatively just click on OK to retrieve a full list of assets.
Create Relife
Right click against the asset and select Valuations followed by Relife.
Press Enter on the Keyboard to default the Values. Change the Expected Life.
In the example below this will be the Year and month of the relife.
Update the Relife
Click on Update.
Exit from the screen to the Asset list, click on the Valuations button.
You will see a new line is displayed for the Relife you have made. The H book will show an increased value.
